After learning about chanting from Krishna Das, Robert Gass, Jai Uttal and others, I led a group that gathered monthly for twenty years sharing chants of many spiritual, religious, and faith traditions.  One weekend thirty of us recorded a wonderful session in the Nelson Music Room at Duke University; and two special CD's were produced from there.

Vasu is Sanskrit for the aspect of God that gives Himself to others. His/her being is the true wealth. In Buddhism, this quality of generosity is called "kingly giving." As our group sings and plays music together you will hear the best of our heart's song and you may feel like you are with us, perhaps singing or clapping along. Neem Karoli Baba, a great saint of modern India, pictured on the cover, loves to listen to westerners chant and sing holy songs.
