 The Meaning of Our Name
The
name "Flying Monkey" refers to the story of Hanuman in
the ancient Indian epic, the Ramayana. Hanuman symbolizes
loving devotional service (Bhakti) to the Supreme. In
one story, Hanuman went to a mountain on a mission for a
medicinal herb growing there. Not sure which herb to
get, but determined to bring the needed medicine, he
picked up and carried the entire mountain! This story
reminded Jon of the Bible verse Mathew 17:20. When we
have faith, we can move mountains! |
